Postupak za geometrijsko mjerenje vozila i određivanje brzine vozila (5), koja se kreću na voznoj stazi u njezinom uzdužnom smjeru, uz pomoć najmanje jednog laserskog skenera (1), koji je montiran iznad nivoa vozne staze i koji skenira voznu stazu, odnosno vozilo koje se kreće na njoj u smjeru vožnje (2) unutar jednog ograničenog mjernog područja, u mjernoj ravnini koja je usmjerena na voznu stazu, odnosno na vozilo, i kao mjerne podatke jednog ciklusa skeniranja stvara u mjernoj ravnini profil vozila, pri čemu je mjerna ravnina laserskog skenera (1) zakrenuta pod nekim kutom prema ravnini koja je okomita na smjer vožnje (2), i pri čemu se iz mjernih podataka laserskog skenera određuje prostorni prikaz (Pz), koji se odnosi na određeno vrijeme, nekog vozila (5), iz kojega se s obzirom na tipičan oblik vozila odmah određuje barem duljina vozila kao i brzina vozila, naznačen time, što se uz pomoć više laserskih skenera (1) poznatog tipa, koji su odvojeno raspoređeni preko širine vozne staze, pri čemu dva ili više laserskih skenera (1), pomoću obrade mjernih podataka povezanih laserskih skenera (1), prepoznaju vozilo koje prolazi kao jedno jedino vozilo.
