Heading F1F [Also in Division F2] In a cooling and lubricating system for pumps and internal combustion engines having' a rolling piston with a ring-gear attached thereto and a pinion connected to the engine casing, a restrictor-ring having a peripheral channel is formed on the pinion. In an embodiment an internal combustion engine has an engine body 1 having end-covers 2, 3 and has bearings supporting a shaft 4. The latter has an eccentric 5 with a piston 6 mounted thereon which, having a ring-gear 8 attached thereto, engages a pinion 7 which is connected to the end-cover 2. Pressurized lubricant is supplied to a passage 9 and enters the peripheral channel of the restrictor-ring and passes through the annular space between the ring and the endcover 2 and into a space 11 from there it passes, through passages 12, to a space 13 of the piston 6. An interconnecting passage 14 conveys the fluid from the space 13 to a space 15 from where it passes, through a duct 16, to a space 17 which leads to a discharge pipe. The lubricant also serves to lubricate the teeth of the gears and cool the engine.
