957,888. Lubricating. SUDDENTSCHE PRACISIONS G.m.b.H. Feb. 14, 1963 [Feb. 17, 1962], No. 5976/63. Heading F2A. In a lubrication system for a crank-shaft 11a lubricant is supplied to each main needle bearing 12 through a passage 16a in a crank-case web 16 and a radial bore 15a leading to an arcuate recess 15b in the bearing ring 15, and a jet of lubricant is delivered from a lateral opening 14e between the bearing ring and the crank-case web for impingement upon the adjacent crank web (not shown) to produce an oil mist for lubricating the big end bearings. The arrangement shown is for an end bearing, and for an intermediate bearing an opening 14e is formed on each side of the bearing.
