Abstract
996,879. Refuse furnaces. ALLISCHALMEBS MANUFACTURING CO. May 4, 1964 [May 6, 1963], No. 18352/64. Heading F4B. A rotary, cylindrical refuse furnace comprises a plurality of connected sections A, B, C, D and E, the sections A, C and E each having an impervious wall lined with heat reflective material, and the sections B and D each having louvred openings 18 in the wall for the injection of air supplied from a chamber 20 having adjustable dampers 24-31, for controlling the air admitted to various sections. The rotary furnace is inclined to ensure movement of the refuse through the sections from a feed shoot 7 to a discharge shoot 8. Specification 996,880 is referred to.
