996,539. Cabinets; wood joints. H. HERRMANN Ltd. June 4, 1964 [June 13, 1963], No. 23653/63. Headings A4B and A4W. In a method of making a cabinet a hardwood frame with tongue and groove joints is glued to the reverse side of a hardboard panel 10, V-section channels are milled right through the transverse strips 14 and partially through the hardboard, forming two bevelled strips from the transverse strip 14 and the panel is then bent after gluing the flanks 16 of the grooves and the flanks meet to form a corner joint. A screw 18 may be inserted to add strength to the joint. The cabinet sides may be applied to a plywood base and decorative paper added to the panel.
