Abstract

The process of the parent Specification in which a dispersion of polar synthetic polymer in organic liquid is made by polymerizing ethylenic monomer in the presence of a solvated constituent which forms a block of graft copolymer and in the presence of an organic chain transfer agent, is improved by initially polymerizing the solvated constituent and a proportion of monomer at least equal in weight to the solvated constituent but not more than 25% of the total monomer, the remainder of the monomer and an organic transfer agent being added after substantially all the initial quantity of monomer has reacted. Specification 941,305 also is referred to.ALSO:Glass panels are coated, e.g. by spraying, with a dispersion of polymethyl methacrylate in organic liquid, as described in the parent Specification, and then heated.
