In a hydraulic teletransmission system comprising transmitter and receiver pistons 4, 8, moving in hydraulically connected cylinders 6, 7, the piston rods 3, 10, move in anti-friction bearings 2, 11 and the cylinders 6, 7 are each sealed by a flexible tubular diaphragm arranged to roll over the cylindrical surface of the corresponding piston 4, 8 during movement. The bearings may comprise a plurality of axial rows of balls spaced circumferentially. A spring 9 acting on the receiver piston 8 may be a pressure measuring spring or merely a return spring. The diameters of the pistons 4, 8 differ and may be selected to vary the relative movements of the piston over a wide range.
