Abstract
1355050 Pressure transducers KENT INSTRUMENTS Ltd 2 Dec 1971 [10 Dec 1970] 58826/70 Heading G1N A transducer for measuring differential pressure comprises two bellows 8 whose external surfaces are subjected to the individual test pressures, both attached to rods 13 located in a coaxial bore 3 and attached by springs 12 to a core 1 normally located centrally inside a differential transformer 4 in a space filled with an incompressible liquid. The rods 13 are axially adjustable, to vary the tension of the springs 12, by threaded heads 15 engaging in internally threaded cylindrical members 11a whose outer ends are secured to the associated bellows 8 and whose inner ends act as overload stops against fixed O-rings 19. The differential transformer could alternatively be a variable capacitor or a strain gauge device.
