991,966. Dry shavers. PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd. Feb. 28, 1964 [March 4, 1963], No. 8405/64. Heading B4B. A dry shaver has a shaving head which comprises a shear plate 1 and a rotary cutter 4, and a skin-stretching rim 5 which is capable of limited displacement relative to the members 1, 4 in a plane parallel to the shaving plane so that: when the shaving head is moved over the skin, the rim 5 is held back by the skin and the clearance between the rim and the members, 1, 4 thereby becomes greater at the rear of the members than at the front thereof. The rim has a flange 6 which is slidably supported on the shaver housing and is accommodated in an annular recess formed between the shaver housing and a ring 7 secured thereto, the ring 7 forming an abutment for the flange 6.
