Abstract

991,177. Insulating and securing end windings in dynamo-electric machines. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Sept. 27, 1961 [Oct. 21, 1960], No. 34684/61. Heading H2A. Connections to the supply and between end turns of a dynamo-electric machine are made by means of pre-formed connection harnesses 20, 30 having leads 26, 32 embedded in a moulding of epoxy resin 22. Normal brazed and taped connections are made between winding leads 18 and jumper or supply leads 32, 26. The end windings may be braced by moulding 22 being rigidly attached to the machine frame.
