In apparatus as claimed in the parent Specification, each zeroising lever 24b is formed with two abutments 24e, 24d, one abutment 24e preventing rotation (Fig. 2, not shown) of its associated planet wheel 13 when the latter is moved towards and away from its position of engagement with a toothed wheel of the next drum 3, and the other abutment 24d preventing rotation of the planet wheel 13 (Fig. 3, not shown) in its furthest position from the axis of the drum 3. Further, in order that zeroising will not be prevented by frictional locking when the edges 3f, 24f of the heart-shaped cam 3e and lever 24b are in register at the end of a dispensing operation, each drum 3 pivotally carries a spring biased latch 52 having a finger 53 engaged in an aperture 54 in the drum 3, the latch 52 having a sloping face 53a which will engage the shaft carrying the planet wheel 13 to produce a slight rotation of the drum 3 during outward movement of the planet wheel 13 if the cam 3e and lever 24b are relatively positioned as described.
