A stuffing-box gland is formed by two identical parts 18 and 19 each comprising a half-cylindrical sleeve 15 and a flange having end portions 11 which have stud holes 12 therein and are axially offset relative to each other by their thickness 23 so that the portions 11 of one part overlap that of the other when the parts are assembled. The parts may be of aluminium coated with plastic.
