Abstract

988,256. Resilient rollers. BTR INDUSTRIES Ltd. July 31, 1962 [Sept. 8, 1961], No. 32377/61. Heading F2U. [Also in Division B8] A roller comprises at least two resilient coaxial parts forming an hermetically sealed recess between adjacent side faces. An endless belt conveyer roller has a central rotatable tube 10 formed with annular grooves 15 for the reception of inwardly projecting ribs 16 formed on rubber rings 11, 12 formed with grooves 17 on their adjacent faces. The rings 11, 12 are bonded to the tube 10 and hermetically sealed on contiguous faces, the end rings 12 being formed as half of inner rings 11. An outer sleeve 14 is adhesively secured over the rings.
