987,831. Roller blinds. STOREN-UND MASCHINENFABRIK EMIL SCHENKER A.G. Oct. 11, 1963, No. 40269/63. Heading A4B. An electric motor drive is mounted within the roller of a Venetian or roller blind, the motor housing 14 being secured to a fixed bearing 11 by a shaft 12 while secured to the other face of the housing is a gearbox 15 containing a take-off shaft 16 to which is keyed a flange 23 of the blind roller. Terminal switches 26, 27 are operated by a travelling nut 28 moving on a thread 29 on shaft 12 to disconnect the motor at end positions of the blind.
