[Also in Divisions H1 and H2] A method of making a printed circuit structure comprises forming on an insulating member 10 conductive members 11 and conductively coated apertures 12 integral with the members 11 and adapted to receive conductive terminals 13, coating at least one of the correlated terminals and apertures with at least one member from the group of indium or its alloys, gallium or its alloys, and tin, inserting the terminals in the apertures and exposing the structure at a temperature sufficient to form a diffusion bond between the terminals and the coatings of the apertures. The conductive members 11 are formed, for example, from Cu, Be-Cu, Zn, A1, Sn, or brass strips or from Sn, Bi, Cd, Ag, Pb, Mg, Mn, Mo, Pa or Pt, and are photo-printed, plated or etched on to the insulating member 10 of, for example, phenolic or epoxyl-glass board. The terminals may be of any of the materials mentioned above or of a Ni-Fe alloy. The conductors 11 may be coated similarly to the terminals and apertures. Preferably the terminals are indium coated and heated to 500‹ F. to form a diffusion bond with the copper of the terminals. The terminals are of greater diameter than the apertures and are slit at 13b so that they press against the aperture walls. Various shapes of terminals are possible, the upper flange being part conical, flat, or annular as at 16, and an extension 15 may be provided.
