Abstract

986,610. Controlling vehicle heaters. WEBASTO-WERK G.m.b.H. Feb. 24, 1964 [May 24, 1963], No. 7560/64. Heading F4T. The motor 10 driving the fuel pump 9 of a vehicle heater is energized by a relay 6 connected in parallel with an engine-driven generator 2 connected in series with a lamp 3, the ignition key 4 of the engine and the vehicle battery 1. When the engine is stationary the current from the battery is insufficient to close the relay switch 8 but when the engine is running the generator closes the relay switch 8. A further switch in the circuit of the pump motor 10 permits the heater to be switched on when the relay switch 8 is closed.
