Divided out of 985,415. Heading B5A. Footwear soles are moulded in at least two different materials or colours by using separate passages 30, 31 for injecting into the space between a lasted upper 27 and a movable ram 26 in the mould. The ram is withdrawn to permit the successive injections and may be provided at a corner 26a with a short groove 31, permitting a second injected sole layer 33 to be masked by the first layer 32. The outer sole is abrasionresistant.
