Abstract

985,200. Change-speed gear. A. G. F. WALLGREN. June 21, 1961 [June 22, 1960], No. 22409/61. Heading F2D. In a double helical reduction gear the drive shaft 20 is mounted in eccentric bushes 34 so that two drive ratios may be obtained by rotating the bushes through 180 degrees and fitting drive pinions 50 of appropriate diameter. The ratios may be varied by providing bushes of different eccentricities. The bushes are locked in position by radial pins engaging openings in the peripheral surfaces of the bushes and recesses in the main casing 10.
