Abstract

981,329. Drill jigs. G. ZOLL. Jan. 15, 1964, No. 1873/64. Heading B3C. A drill jig bushing assembly comprises a drill bush 1, Figs. 1, 2, and a liner bush 2, the bushes being connected by a spring and anchored by a self-setting resin. Bush 2 has radial bores 18, which communicate with an annular groove 17, and a number of vent holes 4. Bushes 1 and 2, held together by spring 3, are inserted into the jig 22, bush 1 is adjusted radially, and a hole 19 is drilled in jig 22 and bush 2. Resin is poured into bore 19, and flows into bores 18, to anchor the bushes. In a modification, Fig. 3, the drill bush comprises a sleeve 1a and a bush 1b rotatable in the sleeve by means of a needle bearing 5 and two ball bearings 6a, 6b. The resin is poured through bore 19a, and a labyrinth seal 1c is provided to protect the bearings.
