Abstract

980,375. Floor drying machines. G. T. FILLERY. July 29, 1963, No. 29941/63. Heading A4F. In floor drying equipment of the type wherein water is sucked into a closed receptacle by an air suction pump or fan and a float valve closes the suction connection from the receptacle when the liquid therein reaches a predetermined level, suction is applied to a chamber 15 disposed within the receptacle through a suction port 11, connected through a hose with the suction fan (not shown). The chamber 15 communicates with the space in the receptacle through an annular opening 19, and a closed hollow valve member 22 is raised by suction to close the port 11 in the event that the opening 19 becomes obstructed by foam or other material.
