[Also in Division G5] A device for plotting courses on nautical charts comprises a base 5 attached to a well 6 which also supports holders 4 carrying a bar 3 having slideably and pivotally mounted thereon a pair of parallel chart holding arms 2a, 2b adapted to hold a chart 1 in position on the base 5. The chart holding arm 2b supports a slide 13, supporting in turn a slidable arm 12 which carries a plotting device 9 including a ruler 10 and a protractor 11. The ruler 10 is slidable in a rotatable holder 17 so that the ruler may be displaced angularly into a required position. The protractor may also be rotatable and lockable in desired positions, whereby an incorrect placing of the chart on the base 5 can be compensated by adjustment of the protractor.
