977,050. Manifolding stationery. E. A. G. HEDENSTROM. May 22, 1963, No. 20381/63. Heading B6A. In a continuous stationery assembly comprising a number of record webs and a number of transfer webs, the webs having feed perforations and tear-off perforations dividing the webs into form lengths, the transfer webs 2 are coated with transfer material except at areas which register with the perforated areas. As shown, the areas 7 of transfer material on the rear faces of the transfer webs 2 do not extend to the areas of the feed perforations 5 and the tear-off perforations 6, and a transverse cut 10 crosses the line 6 and extends from the leading edge of one form length into the trailing end of the next form length. When the record and transfer forms are all separated along the cross perforations, a tab will be formed on each transfer form to facilitate subsequent separation of the transfer and record forms, and these tabs are free of transfer material. Instead of the cuts 10, V-shaped cuts 12, Fig. 5 (not shown), may be placed on the longitudinal centre line of each transfer web to form centre tabs on each transfer form. The feed perforations 5 may be of larger diameter than the corresponding perforations in the record webs.
