Abstract

In yarn comprising a blend of 60-66% wool fibres and 40-34% polypropylene fibres, the latter are longer than the wool fibres so that brushing the yarn (or fabric knitted or woven therefrom) will raise a nap consisting almost entire of polypropylene fibre interlocked with the wool base. The component fibres may be of different colour or shade before blending and/or as a result of dyeing the yarn or fabric. The blend may contain a small admixture of other natural or artificial fibres.
