Abstract

Corduroy fabric is woven from a warp of cotton and pile and binding wefts of low-twist undelustred acrylic or polyester yarn. The fabric is finished by washing, dyeing or cross-dyeing in a winch vat or in open width, tentering, and shearing, then cutting the pile and brushing it transversly or diagonally.
