[Also in Division H2] A transformer having on-load tap changing arrangements on its secondary has four primary windings connectible, by a switch 13, in series or parallel for high and low voltage supplies respectively. Taps are selected by switches T1 . . . T4, change-over being performed by on-load switches 16, 17 with an inter-tap reactor 15. The transformer supplies traction motors M1 . . . M4 and there are current limiting relays 19 and 21 (see Division H2).
