Abstract
974,796. Warp let-off motions. BERGEDORFER EISENWERK A. G. March 17, 1961 [March 23, 1960], No. 9785/61. Heading D1E. A movable back rest is connected to a pneumatic cylinder to maintain constant warp tension. In Fig. 1 the back rest 5, pivoted at 19 is moved to tension the warp by a cylinder 22 and an adjustable rod 21 and the warp beam is braked by a weighted band 3a. In Fig. 2 the back rest 32, of a pile carpet loom, pivoted at 30, is moved by the cylinder 22 and rods 52 and 48. During pile insertion a cam 68a acts on a follower 74 to apply a brake 72 to prevent the back rest moving and acts on a follower to move rods 64, 65 which pivot supplementary back rests 34, 37 to slacken the warp.
