A cutting tool comprises resilient means 10 for urging the cutting tip 5 against its clamp 2 when this is slackened to remove or index the tip. The resilient means may be a rubber pad or a spring 10 beneath a seating 6 which is held captive by a pin 9. The clamp 2 also serves as a chip-breaker.
