974,618. Conveyer chains. M. VALENTINHJORT. Dec. 6, 1960, No. 41890/60. Heading B8A. In a conveyer chain having vertical pivot pins 15, horizontal pivot pins 22, horizontal guidance rollers 1 and vertical guide-andsupport rollers 24, the rollers 24 are adjacent the pins 22 and the rollers 1 are at the centre of links carrying the pins 15, the arrangement being such that there are two vertical pivots and no horizontal pivots between each pair of successive support rollers 24. The chain is made up of three types of link, namely: (a) a link consisting of parallel link plates 4 joined by the pins 15 and the axle 2 of roller 1; (b) an L-shaped link 13 leaving a vertical hole for a pin 15 at one end, a horizontal hole for a pin 22 at its apex, and its other end hanging below the chain to provide a load carrier 14; (c)' a U- shaped link the open end of which embraces the L-shaped link and is apertured to receive the pin 22 and the closed end of which has a vertical hole for the next pin 15. The chain is designed to run in a square-sectioned channel with a slot, for the carriers 14, in its base.
