Abstract

338,377. Hill Engineering Co. (Hull), Ltd., T., and Hill, G. F. Nov. 23, 1929. Fixed - bucket conveyers; carriers and receptacles, attaching to chains; guiding; tensioning.-A conveyer for bottles, &c. comprises a number of carriers 10 each of which is pivotally mounted on an endless chain by the insertion of a hook member 14 within a link 17. Each carrier is arcuate in cross-section and has plates 11 at its ends which leave a space 12 for the drainage of water, &c. Slots 13 are provided for the same purpose. Each hook member 14 consists of a pair of strips 15, 16. Rollers 19 on the base of each carrier engage with a track 20 which extends substantially parallel to the conveyer. The conveyer extends in substantially spiral form from the pulley 28, Fig. 5, to the pulleys 27 - - 27k, thence to pulley 26 and completes its endless form by the portion from pulley 26 to pulley 28 via the pulley 34. The tension of the chain is varied by adjusting the pulley 28 in a slot 50.
