973, 232. Creping paper. MINISTER FOR MINISTERUL INDUSTRIEI PETROLULUI SI CHIMIEI Feb. 8, 1961, No. 4722/61. Headings D2A and D2B. Longitudinally creped paper for cigarette filters is made by creping the wet web by means of fluted rollers between the initial and final drying rollers of a conventional crepe-paper machine. As shown, the wet web from a paper-making machine is partially dried on the drum 2, transversely creped by the doctor blade 6, passed between two mating fluted rollers at 1 and finally dried on the drum 3. The fluted rollers turn the paper fibres so that the transverse crepings are taken-out and longitudinal crepings impressed.
