Abstract
972,498. Bell-type furnaces. STEIN ET ROUBAIX. July 20, 1961 [July 20, 1960], No. 26383/61. Heading F4B. A bell-type heat treatment furnace comprises outer and inner covers 1 and 2 respectively enclosing open-ended radiant tubes 4 arranged in rings and extending obliquely through the outer cover 1 so that the flames from their open ends 5 are substantially perpendicular to lines joining the axis of the furnace. The radiant tubes are either gas or oil fired and exhaust ports 11 are provided.
