969,883. Bearings. JOSEPH LUCAS (INDUSTRIES) Ltd. June 21, 1963, No. 24719/63. Heading F2A. In a roller bearing the rollers are arranged so that alternate rollers 6a have their axes radially disposed in relation to the axis of the bearing and intervening rollers 6b have their axes parallel to the axis of the bearing. The rollers are mounted between an inner member 4, having a radially outwardly directed flange 4b, and an outer member 5, having a radially inwardly-directed flange 5b. The rollers 6a, 6b are similar, have radiused edges, and have diameters which are greater than their lengths. An annular cage 7, having a number of equiangularly spaced cylindrical recesses formed alternately in its end face and in its internal periphery, locates the rollers.
