[Also in Division H1] The polyphase primary winding of a transformer rectifier arrangement is arranged to produce a travelling flux, and each phase of the secondary winding, which may be a single bar B or a coil, has a rectifying element R 1 . The D.C. output is taken from end-rings EK1, ER2. The construction is similar to that of an induction motor, with an insulating cylinder IC between the windings. The arrangement may be used for supplying the heaters of electron guns.
