Abstract

The invention comprises: the 7-theophyllinoacetate of 2-dimethylaminoethoxy-bis-(61-tetralyl)-methane of the formula: <FORM:0968412/C1/1> and pharmaceutical compositions containing it together with a carrier; the preparation of the salt by reacting the acid with the aminoether at an elevated temperature, preferably in butanone; and the combination of this process with the preparation of the aminoether by condensing the sodium derivative of bis-(6-tetralyl)-carbinol with 1-dimethylamino-2-chloroethane. The pharmaceutical compositions have anti-histaminic and antiemetic properties.
