Abstract

The invention comprises condensation products of sulphaguanidine with formaldehyde, or substances yielding formaldehyde, and salts of these condensation products with inorganic or organic acids, the preferred product being a compound of the formula <FORM:0792449/IV (b)/1> The products are suitably made by condensing sulphaguanidine with formaldehyde or a substance yielding formaldehyde, such as hexamethylenetetramine, in neutral or acid solution. The products are used as therapeutic agents. Examples are given.
