Abstract

A fertilizer comprises evaporated sea water, a solution thereof in fresh water, or diluted sea water. Evaporated sea water may be applied to soil in an amount of 550-2,200 lb./acre. A solution may contain 1,000-8,000 p.p.m. of evaporated sea water. Diluted sea water may contain 25-225 lb. of sea water per 1,000 lb. of solution. The fertilizer may also contain ammonium nitrate, ammonium sulphate or urea. The ratio of ammonium nitrate to sea water solids may be 8-80 to 200. The ratio of ammonium sulphate to sea water solids may be 1-11 to 20. The ratio of urea to sea water solids may be 5-40 to 200.
