966,632. Bottle-crating devices. R. M. BERRY. May 24, 1963 [May 24, 1962], No. 19929/62. Heading B8H. The arms 7 of a bottle gripper are pivoted at 6 to a member 5 on a support 4 and closed by a pneumatically operated piston 12, the rod 11 of which depresses a toggle linkage 9 which forces apart the upper ends of the arms 7. The rod 11 slides in the member 5 and the jaws are returned to their open position by a spring below the piston 12. A plurality of such grippers may be used as described in Specification 758,360.
