Abstract

964,887. Boxes. POON KAM, [trading as ASIA MANUFACTORY]. Feb. 27, 1961 [June 14, 1960], No. 20875/60. Heading B8P. A polyethylene container comprising a body 1 and hinged lid 2 has a compartment 8 holding batteries connected to an electric lamp 3 in the lid; additionally a portable lamp 14 connected by a flex to the batteries may be provided. The cover of the lamp 3 may be transparent or translucent. The lamp 3 may be lit by actuation of a sliding switch on the outside of the lid or by a plunger type switch which causes the lamp 3 to light when the lid is raised. The lamp 14 has a switch 20 incorporated therein and is held in place by a spring clip 19. A hooklike member 21 enables the lamp 14 to be hung up or to be stood on the ground. A shoulder strap 22, and studs or ribs 25 on the bottom, are provided.- The container may hold first-aid equipment or bicycle repair equipment. A carrying strap 22 passes through loops 24 and beneath the container. According to the Provisional Specification, the strap lies in a groove moulded in the container.
