A dustbin cover 4 made from polythene or other synthetic plastic is placed over a dustbin 1 so as to rest on the ground, the top of the cover having a handle 7 or a handle opening. The bottom edge of the cover 4 has a thickened rim 5. The dome 6 has a depression 8. The latter may have an opening through which the bin lid handle protrudes or for the gripping thereof.
