Abstract
961,499. Valves. CONEX-SANBRA Ltd. Nov. 24, 1962, No. 44547/62. Heading F2V. In a tripartite water tap the hot and cold inlets 12 and 13 via inlets 6 to mixing chamber 3 are valved to control water temperature by conventional means and the flow to outlet 14 controlled by connection of the chamber inlets 6 to passage 28 by diametral passage 26 opening into annular recess 27 of cylindrical plunger 16. The cylindrical plunger 16 is non rotatably guided in a square section recess of guide 18 and vertically actuated by screwed connection to spindle 22 of rotatable handle 20. In its lowermost position the valve passage 26 is sealed from inlets 6 by ring 30 mounted in the wall of either chamber 3 or plunger 16 and leakage past the handle is prevented by seal 29. A guide ring 31 is also provided in the plunger.
