961,335. Duplex telegraphy. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. Sept. 6, 1961 [Sept. 7, 1960], No. 32010/61. Heading H4R. Transmission from Tn11 to Tn21 is via the wide-band band-pass filters F11a and F21a and pair FSK1, that from Tn21 to Tn11 via the narrowband band-pass filters F22b and F12b and pair FSK2. Similar arrangements are provided for stations Tn12 and Tn22 using the wide-band portion of FSK2 (E-W) and the narrowband portion of FSK1 (W-E). The invention is particularly useful for telex connections in which the majority of signals are from the calling to the called station. High speed transmission (500-2000 Baud) may be used in that direction and low speed (50 Baud) in the opposite direction. One pair may provide one high-speed path and one low-speed path for a single telex connection.
