Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure an easy detection of the faulty area on the transmission line in the supervisory system for the two-way repeating transmission line by connecting the transmission lines of the two systems via the pseudo line and at the proper position. CONSTITUTION:In case the fault is detected for the going lines L1-Ln, the signals featuring the same frequencies as filters F1 plus F3-Fn+1 which feature the natural resonance frequencies and are provided at repeater stations R1-Rn are transmitted to lines L1-Ln in sequence from end office A. And the faulty area is decided by the presenc or absence of the signals which come back to the supervisory line via filters F1 plus F3-Fn+1. In case the faulty area is detected for going lines L'1-L'n, the signals featuring the same frequencies as filters F2 plus F4-Fn which feature the natural resonance frequencies and are provided at repeater stations R'1-R'n are transmitted in sequence to lines L1-Ln from end office A. And the faulty area is decided by the presence or absence of the signals which come back to the supervisory line via pseudo lines N1-Nn+1 and filters F2 plus F4-Fn.
