[Also in Divisions D1 and E1] A sheet of expanded polystyrene is corrugated on one or both surfaces with rectangular or wave-like corrugations by passing the sheet over a heated ribbed roller and subsequently cooling it either by a blast of cold air by using cooled rollers or plates. As shown, two rollers heated by water or steam corrugate the polystyrene at a maximum temperature in the range 75‹ C. to 110‹ C. The sheet may finally be coated with paper, fabric, or plastic, and may be used to line the inside of a roof.
