Heading E2B.- A self-tightening hose-clamp comprises a length of wire formed in a die so that the lower portion 12 comprises two sections formed on radii, R 1 , R 1 <SP>1</SP> having spaced centres M, M<SP>1</SP> in a plane C C<SP>1</SP> extending below the true centre plane of the clamp, the two sections being blended together at O. The lower section merges into part-circular arms 14, 16 formed about centres N, N<SP>1</SP> also lying in the plane C, C<SP>1</SP>. When the clamp is removed from the die, the portion 12 assumes a semi-circular position due to the inherent resilience of the wire material. U.S.A.
