Abstract

1,146,652. Hoses; hose couplings. DUNLOP CO. Ltd. 6 July, 1966 [16 July, 1965], No. 30233/66. Addition to 1,036,459. Headings F2G and F2P. A flexible hose of, e.g., polypropylene, a polyamide or polyvinyl chloride and formed with convolutions of triangular cross-section, has at the end thereof a frusto-conical portion 6 whereby an 0-ring 1 on a pipe 2 may be rolled into a groove 8 when the pipe is advanced into the hose; the 0-ring is repositioned alongside the flange by pulling the pipe outwards. The groove or grooves may be tapered inwardly towards the end of the hose.
