1498619 Hose couplings EUROPOWER HYDRAULICS Ltd 16 Dec 1974 [17 Dec 1973] 58383/73 Heading F2G A hose coupling comprises an insert 2 with a threaded end 1, pushed into the unreduced end of a laminated hose around which a cylindrical ferrule 3 is located to be swaged inwards by dies 5 which form at least three circumferential depressions axially spaced along the ferrule. A lip 4 converges at one end of the ferrule 3; for larger couplings, the end of the lip 4 may extend axially in a reduced diameter cylindrical shape.
