Abstract

1302508 Clips AMP INC 27 July 1971 35079/71 Heading E2B A clip for closing and sealing a flexible tube comprises two pairs of arms 36, 38, the arms 38 being connected by a strap 34 and each having a recess 44 into which a tab 42 on the respective arm 36 is inserted and bent under the arm 38 when the arms 36, 38 are brought together to clamp a tube T' between them. A continuous rib 46 extends along the length of each arm to increase the clamping effect. The arms may be coated with plastics and the device may be made of a pliable metal such as aluminium.
