Abstract
Cut marks consisting of small pieces of paper or foil are inserted into a warp without interrupting the beaming operation by placing them close to the nip between the warp sheet and the beam, into which they are carried by the air current produced by the moving yarns. A measuring device operated by the presser roll controls a dispenser which severs the cut marks from a roll of paper. The dispenser is situated 1/4 in. from the beam and is moved away as the diameter increases; it may also be moved sideways to prevent the cut marks from producing a bulge at one part of the beam.
