Abstract

959,039. Fasteners. ITW Ltd. Feb. 7, 1962 [Feb. 8, 1961], No. 4708/61. Heading E2B. A fastener of deformable mouldable material comprises a shank 3 with a head 2 and a shoulder 5 spaced therefrom, the shank 5 having a longitudinal groove 7 extending the length of the shank into a hole 10 in the head 2. The end of the shank is chamfered to facilitate entry into the hole in a panel 9. Curved lateral flanges are provided so that panels of differing thickness may be used. The fastener is provided with an opening 4 at its other end to hold a ferrite rod.
