[Also in Division F2] A wall-plug type fastener, e.g. moulded in one piece of nylon, is divided lengthwise into at least two segments joined by a web 14, each segment forming two fingers 15, 16 extending at an angle to one another from the web, so that for example when a woodscrew, nail, stud or bolt is inserted into a bore 23, Fig. 2, formed between the fingers 15 (by their spacing and by a groove 21 in each finger 15) and is forced into a hole through the web 14, the latter acts as a toggle and the fingers 16 are splayed apart, Fig. 8, to grip one side of a wall 12 or to grip a member on to that side. For insertion, Fig. 1, in the hole in the wall 12, the fingers 15 are splayed apart and the fingers 16 pushed together. The screw may be removed, leaving the plug acting alone as an attachment, e.g. for an internal panel or washer. The plug has annular serrations 17, two ridges 18, Fig. 1, and a head 19 with a slightly countersunk mouth, Fig. 2.
